You’ll find our most frequently asked questions below, but if you don’t see your questions - contact us!
You’ll need a valid passport book (not the card) for this trip.
If you don’t have one yet: Apply now! Current processing times are 6–8 weeks, and delays can happen.
If you have one: Check the expiration date TODAY—it must be valid for at least 6 months after you return home. If not, renew it right away.
There’s no “get out of jail free” card here—without a valid passport, you can’t travel. Visit the U.S. State Department website for application and renewal instructions.
This means that Sherri & Chris have paid a deposit to pre-reserve rooms just for your group. The couple has signed a contract with the resort and has committed to a minimum number of rooms; reserving this room block means Sherri & Chris have procured special perks and rates for their group!
Only rooms booked with DWD Travel count toward fulfilling the room block contract—that’s why it’s SO important to book your room with us rather than “going rogue” and just booking on the resort website. The resort has a 3-night minimum stay requirement, but you are welcome to come earlier or stay later! We can help you extend your stay, and we have reserved several different room types for you to choose from.
Absolutely! Please include your requested dates on the reservation form, and I will confirm availability.
You can view the rates for different room categories by visitng the "Available Room Types" link above. The rates listed are PER ROOM and include:
- Hotel Accommodations
- All Inclusive Amenities (including meals)
- Round trip transportation between the Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR) and resort
- Hotel tax & gratuities
- All wedding events & activities
- Optional travel insurance is available to protect your investment
Yes! Without it, all payments are nonrefundable, and U.S. health insurance won’t cover you in Mexico. Our recommended plan includes Cancel For Any Reason coverage, trip protection, and medical coverage abroad—averaging about $199 per person when added at deposit.
Yes! Initial deposits of $150 per person are due at the time of booking by March 5, 2026 and final payment is due June 25, 2026.
After the initial deposit is paid, payments can be made any time for any amount as long as the balance is paid in full by June 25, 2026. Payment plans are interest free!
All quotes start with the reservation form. Fill out the form available at the "Reserve a Room" link above and I will get back to you with a quote. In your reservation form, make sure to include the ROOM TYPE you want to book.
The more, the merrier! If you’re sharing a room, please coordinate with your roommate and designate ONE person to fill out the reservation form.
Reservation forms should be one per ROOM, not one per person. When I get your form, I will email both of you and explain the next steps.
If you and your roommate live at different addresses, please make sure to include the second guest's contact info. This can go in the notes field.
While Sherri & Chris request that you book your room with the group, you are welcome to book your own airfare. If you would like assistance with air, we are happy to help!
If you book your own air, please follow the instructions on your invoice and send us this information no later than September 17, 2026. This is how we schedule your transportation pick up at the airport, so you can begin your trip with ease!
Be sure to book airfare to the Cancun International Airport. The airport code is CUN. Take the check in time of 3 pm and check out time of 12 pm into consideration when scheduling your flights. You are welcome to arrive sooner or depart later, but you may not have access to your room yet.
You are welcome to book your own airfare however you'd like (cash, points or miles). If you book your own air, please send me the confirmation asap so I can schedule your ground transportation.
Due to contract deadlines, we recommend booking your hotel room as early as possible and adding air when you're ready.
This is where travel insurance comes into play! Since all inclusive resorts are pre-paid AND non-refundable, travel insurance is encouraged to protect your investment. Life is unpredictable; plans can change—but securing travel insurance means you won’t be out $$$$ if life throws you a curveball.
Simply put, without insurance, there are no refunds should your plans change. The cost of insurance is based on your age and the cost of your room.
Sherri & Chris have paid a deposit to pre-reserve rooms for your group and kindly ask that you book your hotel within our designated group contract here at DWD Travel.
There are several BIG reasons to book with through us, including:
- The couple has worked with me to negotiate a contract for the ENTIRE group. This allows the couple to offer some amazing and fun surprises for all of you!
- These events and special amenities are based on a group room minimum that the couple is required to meet. Rooms booked outside the group contract do not count toward this minimum.
- Groups are given priority status at the resort, so you might miss out on some VIP treatment if you book on your own!
- Groups are given priority room assignments, so if you book directly with the resort, you're likely getting a worse room. It will be leftover inventory … probably in an undesirable location away from everyone else.
- Groups are given priority in terms of an oversold situation. If the hotel over sells its inventory, rooms booked within the group are protected. But if you booked on your own, you’re not—and you could be switched to another location!
Unfortunately, guests who do not book with the group contract:
- Will not get the exclusive group rates
- Will have to pay upfront vs. over time via the payment plan in place
- Will not receive any pre-departure, trip support or post-trip support from DWD Travel
Unfortunately I cannot assist with travel arrangements made outside of the group, nor can I assist in the event of an emergency.
It’s not recommended. Guests staying off property will be charged a day pass to attend the wedding events. The resort has the right to stop selling day passes if the property reaches 90% capacity or greater, so it’s a risky move. Off-property guests are welcome for 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start and will be asked to vacate the premises 30 minutes after the event ends.
Choosing the perfect outfit for a destination wedding is both exciting and challenging—especially if you’ve never attended a wedding in Mexico or the Caribbean before!
